SEOmoz blog, the blog run by Rand Fishkin’s SEO company was ranked the highest by our readers in the 2006 Search Blogs Awards which were held during the last week of December.
Hands down, in the past year SEOmoz has become the major authority on SEO, Social Media, Humor, and tips on running an SEO agency. Rand’s presence at Search Engine Strategies conferences (along with the rest of the crew), in Newsweek and commenting on other industry blogs and forums has helped SEOmoz quickly secure a major part of the searchosphere and their transparency, sharing of information and vast array of tools helps to build the street cred in the SEO world that only a few have.
When I think of SEOmoz though, I think of more than Rand Fishkin and the company.
Knowing that different styles of blog contributors who do not even work for Rand, yet help him market his business, will be posting at least twice a week brings me back to SEOmoz daily. Furthermore, the blog is vibrant and alive with commenting and discussion, which may be its true value.
Out of over 450 voters (not bad during the pre-holiday shopping & vacation season) ranking blogs on a scale of 1 to 5, SEOmoz topped the list with a ranking of 3.66.
As you can see from the rankings below, the race was fairly tight for second, with Search Engine Roundtable, SEO Book and the Matt Cutts Blog running neck, neck & neck. Lisa Barone, Bill Slawski’s SEO by the SEA, and Michael Gray also had very good showings.
SEOmoz 3.66
SERoundtable 3.45
SEO Book 3.44
Matt Cutts Blog 3.42
StuntDubl 3.28
SEO by the SEA 3.24
Graywolfs SEO Blog 3.21
Bruce Clay Blog 3.1
Search Engine Guide 2.99
Unofficial SEO Blog 2.9
Traffick 2.66
SearchRank Blog 2.63
SEO Scoop 2.49
SEO Egghead 2.43
SEO Buzz Box 2.42
Sugarrae 2.38
SEOpedia 2.35
SEO Disco 2.21
SEO News Blog 2.2
Congratulations to Rand, Rebecca, Michael, G-man, 0atmeal, Jane, Guillaume, 2K, EGOL, Brian, Fluxx and Ammon for winning this award and helping to bring us enlightening info from the SEOmoz blog on an almost daily basis.

I was only about 1-and-a-half points from winning! LOL… You just had to show the last places, didn’t you… :P
The results are no surprise to me, though. The top places are very well deserved!

You have provided some very usefull information on seo blogs, and it is great resource, and I agree with your views compleetly. There is one other resource that that I have found and have referred to several times that has provided some very usefull information on the topic of seo bloging. This is a site that was created by someone named Jason Ryan Isaksen. Have you ever heard of his web site or had any experience with Jason Ryan Isaksen? If it would be permited, I would appreciate the chance to provide a link to his site on your blog, or would that be breaking the rules? I think that anyone who reads your blog would greatly appreciate and greatly benefit from reading through the information that he provides. Jason Ryan Isaksen has some very helpfull and educated insight on seo bloging to share with anyone who is willing take the time to read it and is interested in the topic. Have you ever heard of this Jason Ryan Isaksen or any of his articles?

If you don’t know or are uncertain, then you maybe need to have your site optimized. Search Engine Optimization plays a central role in generating Internet traffic and getting higher search engine solution. This is the opening and basic step you must to take.
