Google has registered or tranferred nine coupon oriented URL’s over the past week in what looks to be a push for a consumer oritended coupon offering from the search engine company.
Will these coupons be for the local supermarket checkout or Google Checkout? That’s to be seen but the ability to serve a coupon via a mobile device and then use it in the local supermarket is something which would be handy and more efficient than buying a Sunday newspapers only for the coupons.

This technology could be very useful for the admin side of recycling. People fill in details on line and then a coupon is sent to their phone so that when they take stuff for recycling - the recycle centre knows exactly what it is and where it should go…
