What's up with Google?

On August 24th it was [reported](http://www.webmasterworld.com/google/3058623.htm) that Google was updating backlinks on these two datacenters: [64.233.187.104](http://64.233.187.104) and [64.233.187.99](http://64.233.187.99). It is normal to see a backlink update on a few datacenters and then within a couple days the update is usually live on all of their datacenters. The weird thing about this update is that we are currently on day 6 and there has been no sign of them updating the majority of their datacenters. This makes me think that a couple things could potentially be occurring…
1. Google is trying a last minute tweak to their algorithm and they want to test it out on a few datacenters before rolling it out to the rest.
2. A problem occurred when they updated those two datacenters.
3. The update “accidentally” happened so they decided to halt it for now.
Google has up-to-date data on their end, but the backlink data they show publicly is old, so there could be nothing here, but it just seems a little weird to me that the update has not been completed by now.
