Making Fridays Fun

You may have noticed that every Friday, Cameron and I post about humor and news. Cameron usually writes a Catchup with all the hottest Internet marketing news of the week and I write a couple of marketing related humor posts. Those posts maybe fun for us to write and fun for you to read, but there is a purpose behind them. So why do we write them?
The catchup is a great way to “catch up” on the important happenings in the industry. There is so much new news and information on a weekly basis that it would be tedious for you to go through them all, so we do it for you. Every once in a while we may miss an important story or so, but usually it lists the most important happenings in the search engine and marketing community.
The weekly humor posts are here to entertain, but there is a more important message behind them. By using humor within marketing campaigns, you can have a far more effective campaign. People are more likely to remember a funny commercial or advertisement compared to a dull and boring one. For this reason companies such as Apple, MasterCard, and Pepsi have commercials that people enjoy to watch and talk about.
If you have any suggestions on how we could make your Fridays more fun, we would love to hear them.
