Take the Google AdWords Quality Score Survey

July 24th, 2007 by Loren Baker, Editor | 2 Comments

Joseph Kerschbaum of Hanapin Marketing sent in an email that his blog, PPC Hero is conducting a survey about Google’s AdWords Quality Score.

Bill Slawski of SEO by the Sea recently wrote about three patents from Google that detail 44 aspects of the Quality Score. We translated these aspects from legal ease into layman’s terms then based on ‘official’ Google information, other blogs, and forum readings, we truncated the list from 44 to 12 of the most influential attributes of Google’s Quality Score.

Our survey asks for your opinion on how much weight each of those 12 attributes carries in the overall Quality Score formula….we will post the survey results and your feedback on our blog by July 24th. The survey should take less than 5 minutes to complete. Comments are encouraged, but not required.

Is Google going to be reviewing the results of this survey at all? I find it tough to weigh something like this as effective unless we know that they’ll follow-up in one manner or another with the findings.

I may be way off here, but all the survey will do is factor in all of our opinions and treating us all as though we’re the same (experience levels, satisfaction with quality score, etc.)…

    Hi Erica:

That’s a good question. The goal of the survey is to determine how PPC managers perceive the various aspects of the quality score. However, we talk with our Google reps frequently and once we have the results of the survey we will ask them for their feedback.
    Thanks!
