Google Marketing Picassa to Bloggers

Google has kicked up their marketing of Picassa to their community of publishers at Blogger after Google acquired the digital photo company earlier in the week.

In an email that Blogger sends to their users, the Bloggez Buzz, Blogger and Google announced the news to the buzz generating blog community:

Many Blogger users already knew about the photo-software called Picasa and their Hello application that makes it easy to upload pictures to a blog. In an exciting turn of events, Picasa was acquired by Google so now the team that created Hello is part of Google just like Blogger is. Cool beans. They’re down in the Santa Monica office so I’ll have to go on a *cough* business trip to see how their getting along down there near the beach. And the sun. And Hollywood. What? I have a camera.
