Opeters.com Pingback Spam
For the past week my Inbox has been full of Pingback emails from links on Opeters.com (with its tagline Your Favorite Search Engine), which seems to be some sort of strait up blog scraping site. The Google Tags & Bookmarks : SEO Implications post alone was pinged back 4 times by Operters yesterday.
Opeters is probably the worst Pingback spamming and Referral spamming site I’ve had problems with at SEJ and erasing their Pingbacks has really cut into my Editorial Time.
Their WhoIS info states that the site is owned by Orin Peters @ Online Resource Center in Nevada. Orin, if you’re reading this take Search Engine Journal off of your scrape list right now.
