Today’s Google doodle is making more than a few people pretty upset with the search engine. There are multiple support forum threads and reader comments all over the web about the interactive moving balls logo. If you load the Google homepage the first thing you will see is tons of dots in Google’s colors (blue, red, yellow and green) flying all around your screen. Eventually they settle in the middle to spell out “Google”. Whenever you move your mouse around the dots move around as well.
Usually these doodles are created for a specific reason, for instance to commemorate an anniversary, birthday, or an important day in history. However, the purpose of this doodle has yet to be discovered. A few sites have speculated that the moving dots were to celebrate Google’s 12th birthday (the company was incorporated Sept. 4, 1998), but according to Search Engine Land this is not the case.
While I personally like the doodle and there are definitely more people out there that do, a LOT of users have been complaining about, not only today’s doodle, but about the Google doodles in general. On the site’s support forums and in comments around the web people have been sounding off about the immaturity the Google team is unleashing on them, along with CPU complaints (especially regarding last week’s Buckyball logo).

Get a job! They are ace
Only “complaints” I've heard is that the animation doesn't work outsite of FireFox and Chrome.
Works fine in IE8
Are we really having this discussion? We must really be beyond hope! Just kidding!!! Have a fun day!!!
Try trapping one and stopping it from regrouping with the rest of the dots to form the words…..hours of fun! :D
Clicked an add at the top of your page “ppcblog” and it tried to install spy/malware (svchost.exe).
You just vet your ads!!!!
i think they are awesome!!
whys everyone complanin

I agree. They are fun and they don't hurt anything. If they prevented you from searching, I would understand, but come on people, have a little fun!
The Doodle is for Google's HUGE Search event tomorrow.
This Interactive Doodle kind of verifying the Interactive Search Result Page video we saw a week or so ago.
Big changes coming tomorrow I do believe…
That's good to know, thanks!
Yes, I do believe they are going to be big announcements and I am really excited!
Like most animated web pages, they work great locally. But if you are required to use your machine remotely, they make the Google Search Page unusable.
honestly, doodles are what makes google interesting, no one wants a boring page with a plain logo. plus, you might learn something from them, and the doodles for google are a good way for kids to practice art. however, i do admit the dots are annoying
oh my gosh, grow up. who friggin cares if google has dots for the homepage. and 1 flash app isnt going to kill anyones computer
if you dont care, whyd u read it?
stfu, why do you have to troll on someone's comments.
I Agree! Who cares, it's just a doodle!! I mean c,mon people that's what's cool and unique about Google they make everything interesting! at least I'm not bland and think they shouldn't have anything! Who cares if it has nothing to do with anything?, it's cool!!!!
Actually, there's not a single bit of Flash involved…
the ball doodle is superb fun – rests the eyes, beautiful colors, goofy. I love it.

This really helped. Thanks for sharing.
If you don’t like it, you don’t have to use it, that simple.
It’s like saying a restaurant’s wallpaper gives you a headache, so take it down.
Go somewhere else please.
If the graphic doesn’t work for you just use blackle or the like, instead.
I have had to before, no big deal.
Problem solved
