Google AdSense is running some tests on a new creative which serves links under the ad’s copy and traditional contextual advertisements. By way of Blogoscoped & DigitalPoint we find a new Google AdSense Leaderboard format which actually changes the ads served on a page as new links are selected.

We’ve seen AdSense ads with optional search boxes tested in the past which initiate the serving of new ads, but this is the first case of AdSense keyword term ’suggestions’.

Theese ads must be more effective. But google doesn’t say anything about it. May be later…

I think it’s more of an effort by Google to gauge the relevancy to the site the ads are served on to their audience.
Hot example, if more people click on the ‘Hot Celebs’ link, perhaps more Celeb Wallpaper ads would be served.
