Coverage of Webmaster World Conference on Search Engine Roundtable

Barry Schwartz, of the award winning blog Search Engine Roundtable, will be covering the Webmaster World Conference in New Orleans this week (which I couldn’t attend).Barry has set up a category for this specific conference named WebmasterWorld 2005 New Orleans on his Search Engine Roundtable blog.

From Barry’s announcement : I hope to provide almost real time coverage of the sessions I attend (depending on wifi access / Internet access). I have not looked at the session offerings yet, if you want me to attend a specific session, feel free to request so.

This summer’s conference in New Orleans seems to be a bit special as Google is sending a team of engineers to support WebmasterWorld’s World Search Conference. Conference delegates can get involved in roundtable sessions with the Google engineers on specific subjects of interest and relevance. In addition, the event will feature an invitation-only cocktail party where conference delegates can meet the engineers on an informal basis.

“In keeping with its focus on bringing you the fastest and easiest way to find relevant information, Google is pleased to invite you to an interactive session with the people that make it all happen - Google Engineers,” said a spokesperson from Google.
