When I ran into Bill Slawski & Li Evans several times at Search Engine Strategies San Jose, I was surprised to find out that two of the more known search engine marketers from my home mid-Atlantic area were both looking to move on from their positions at the former company which employed both of them. Who would have thought that Li, with her seven interviews lined up at SES, and Bill, still livid after spending the day with Robert Scoble, would be moving on to KeyRelevance.
KeyRelevance, based in Dallas, announced today that search marketing experts, Bill Slawski and Liana (Li) Evans, have joined the company. Li is well known around the search community for her energetic networking skills and specializes in SEO & social media optimization with a background in public relations and programming. Bill is a co-founder of Cre8asite Forums and known in the search world for his SEO research and crunching of search engine patent applications & papers. Respectively, Li runs the Search Marketing Gurus blog and Bill the SEObytheSEA blog.
Christine Churchill, President and CEO of KeyRelevance, had this to say; “I am excited and pleased to welcome Bill and Li to the company as they expand our company’s base of search industry experts. Bill and Li bring enthusiasm and a wide array of search engine optimization experience to the KeyRelevance team.” Churchhill added “I have known Bill and Li for a number of years and have always had the utmost respect for both of them. We share the same philosophy on improving client sites for long term benefits. The transition to working together feels natural and the next logical step.”
So Bill and Li, will you both be relocating to Texas?

Thanks, Loren.
I haven’t been to Texas before, but will be visiting very soon. I can’t rule out relocation, but I do like living in Delaware a lot.
It’s great to still be working with Liana, and a joy to be joining Christine, and the team at KeyRelevance.

Nope, staying put right here in tiny little Limerick, PA :)
(yeah, that’s the real name of my little town, let the andrew dice clay reference ensure :P )
Lucky for me, cuz Dallas would be a really bad place for a rabid Eagles fan like myself (no offense Christine! LOL)

Yeah Li, watching Philly lose so bad in Texas Stadium once every year would be heart breaking :)
Congrats to both of you!

So there is a town called Limerick in the US? I wonder if there’s a connection with a town of the same name here in Ireland? Quite likely I imagine :)

Oops, sorry.
Quite rude of me - yes congratulations to both. I’m hoping this wont affect my regular patent overview reading Bill :)

Thanks, Rhea and Richard.
I’m picking up at least 2-3 hours a day that I was losing to telecommuting, Richard. Hopefully that will mean more blog posts rather than less.
Rhea on Sep 4, 2007 at 7:09 pm
Wow, that’s a ridiculous commute before. I can’t wait to read the posts that come from those reclaimed hours.

It was, Rhea. And that was getting on the road before rush hour, and driving home after rush hour in the evening. It made for some long days.
