Bing Search Tips for Microsoft Office 2016

bing link explorer

Microsoft Office 2016 is now available, and along with it comes a number of useful Bing search integrations.

The new Bing features, Smart Lookup and Tell Me, are designed to give you access to the information you need when you’re most likely to be in need of it.

Smart Lookup lets you look up and/or fact check information on the web while working on documents in Office. To activate this feature, the text in question and Smart Lookup will automatically trigger.

Smart Lookup pops over the surrounding content to deliver results from Bing’s image search, web search and more. This feature is to web search as the new Tell Me feature is to internal.

If you want to accomplish the task but do not know the exact tool you need, you can use Tell Me to locate the appropriate feature within the Microsoft Office suite.

Both of these features are available now within Microsoft Office 2016 — including the Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook apps.
