YouTube : Master Link Building Tool

February 27th, 2007 by Loren Baker, Editor | 4 Comments

Did you know that backlinks from YouTube are easy to create and show up as counted inbound links in Yahoo Site Explorer?

Neither did I until I read Neil’s post at Link Building Blog : Building Links through YouTube

The way this works is that if you are one of the top 5 sites that drives the most traffic to a particular YouTube video, they link back. So the next time you embed YouTube videos into your website, check to see if you got a link back.

So, embedding a YouTube video on a blog post or web page and clicking on the video may build some nice links to your site.

I really don’t think they would boost your Google ranking, but if you want to boost your inbound link numbers and your rankings in other search engines, this may be a useful trick.

Interesting post Loren. I didn’t know Y! Explorer counted YouTube links. I’ve often found YouTube is a bit flakey in whether or not they show links at all.

Ya and youtube is a good way of traffic.
Can u reply please to my question?
Can a google search give us information about all the links we have built over the net’s dofollow and doindex pages.
For example we build links withyoutube, comments, forums, social bookmarks, directories, etc.
When we type our url on google, are only those links shown which are useful for improving google ranking? anyone pls reply at jackusa18@gmail.com

The links are nofollow but sometimes no follows count.
Although mutual links count for very little really.
