WSJ is reporting that Yahoo is set to unveil a new online ad targeting program that aims to help online marketers get better gains from their ad campaigns. Yahoo’s senior vice president of U.S. revenue and market development, Joanne Bradford and Michael Walrath, a senior vice president at Yahoo are set to announce the new online ad tool during a conference in Florida.
The new tool is an online tool that would target graphical advertisements to users who have search for relevant keywords on Yahoo’s search engine. It would also offer ad customization tool that can be used to tailor fit the display ads to users based on the web sites that they have visited, and what they did on the website.
The other online ad tool that Yahoo is set to roll out sometime next month has something to do with making available text ad spots displayed side by side with search results that will appear on specific day, as well as other demographic factors including user’s age and gender.
Both Bradford and Walrath will also reiterate the importance of using search-targeting products in connecting search and display advertising to better market a certain product online.

This really annoys me. It’s all well and good copying Google but could they not put the time and effort into a feature that would increase their ad revenue ten fold…. and offline editor.
Wen are Yahoo going to learn? So many advertisers are not going to even bother with these new features if they can’t make mass changes easily.
Yahoo traffic is AWESOME, I just wish I didn’t have to buy a new PC every time I use their awful web UI.
