Yahoo Teaming With Newspapers

This Reuters piece reports on a BusinessWeek article (I couldn’t locate), which says a group of newspapers is in talks with Yahoo! to create a partnership that would include content and distribution. It’s unclear from what I saw what the form of it would be precisely.

Two of the named newspaper publishers were Hearst and MediaNews Group. From the Reuters piece:

Yahoo Inc. and a loose consortium of newspaper publishers are considering a partnership that would include Web classifieds, local news, and content packages based on general themes like travel, BusinessWeek magazine reported on Thursday.

The move could drive more traffic to Yahoo’s help-wanted HotJobs site, the magazine reported.
