Yahoo Search’s Slurp Slowing Down

October 17th, 2007 by Loren Baker, Editor | No Comments

Yahoo Search’s web crawler, Slurp, may be slowing down a bit on some web sites in an effort to more effectively crawl without much of a server drain, but Barry Schwartz points out that that crawl has come to a stop on some sites according to some threads on DigitalPoint.

Recent discussions over at DigitalPoint Forums reports that Yahoo Slurp seemed to have taken it easy on some sites. It is hard to confirm that this is a global change, since only about four or five Webmaster have confirmed this activity

Yahoo rolled out its new Yahoo Search experience the other week and has hinted at index changes, but are bigger changes afoot at Yahoo Search? Possibly.
