Yahoo Picks is a relic from before the time of user generated content. Nowadays we have more democratic sites that highlight “cool websites” such as reddit, digg, etc.

Yahoo should have brought Picks into the 21st century by making it a user-voted site. Instead they decided to make a video version called “the 9″.
