Yahoo Answers Links Are Working Again

February 10th, 2008 by Loren Baker, Editor | 2 Comments

Yahoo Answers has fixed the issue with user generated content links not working and the links are running again in Yahoo Answers.

There were some who thought that Yahoo may have been taking the links down to replace them with redirect scripts for tracking the clicks on the links or possibly even lifting the NoFollow attribute used on the links.

However, the links still exist how they did before, organic links with a NoFollow attribute attached to the code.

For those of you who are turned off or disappointed that Yahoo Answers links use NoFolllow and feel that these links have little value bcause of so, we discussed a bit how NoFollow does not mean NoIndex and not every search engine recognizes NoFollow.

Yahoo Answers links and content also generate high search engine placement in some search query results, resulting in indirect search traffic via those links placed in the resource area of Answers .. which have a lot of value.
