Yahoo! Inc. and ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT, the #1 entertainment newsmagazine in the world, today launched ET on Yahoo! Entertainment (http://et.yahoo.com or ETonline.com). ET viewers and Yahoo! users will enjoy an exclusive cross-platform entertainment experience where they can delve deeper into breaking entertainment and celebrity news at this full-featured, one-stop entertainment destination.

The relationship was jointly announced today by Michael Mischler, executive vice president of marketing for Paramount Domestic Television, and Jim Moloshok, senior vice president of Yahoo!’s media, entertainment, information and finance business unit.

In addition, the relationship will also include at least eight yearly mini-destinations focused on major events from the world of entertainment, including coverage of the 55th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards and ET’s Fall TV Preview. The union also reflects the increasing importance of the Web to consumers as a form of entertainment and in making entertainment decisions, and propels ET and Yahoo! Entertainment to the forefront of media convergence. According to Nielsen//NetRatings, 102 million people consumed entertainment content on the Web in July 2003.
