If Wikia really wants to make this a community-generated search engine than the demo attached will do just that - http://tinyurl.com/yvah8w

PredictAd Search Assist has a collaborative filtering feature that learns community search patterns. If you start typing in the demo attached you will start getting autocomplete results (with contextual advertisements) - these results will optimize based on the popularity of certain search terms/phrases.

If Jimmy Wales is reading - take a close look…PredictAd is FREE and its contextual advertising platform gives the publisher something that Adwords simply doesn’t! Moreover, it’s the first Ajax service offered on the web, and it’s a cool one at that…

The world may not need a better wiki, but perhaps it does need a better search engine. Just how Google looked at Yahoo e-mail and thought " How do we make a better e-mail" we did the same with Google and started EarthFrisk.org to make a better search engine. What is in fact better than a search engine that has the best results of Google, Yahoo and MSN with less spam and the communities input in voting and comments and a real alternative to pagerank? You tell me? There is always room for improvement and on Monday take a look at EarthFrisk.Org and you be the judge.

Considering the top placements of almost every Wiki page in Google, providing access to this new search engine from Wikipedia would skim millions of searchers into their new engine and provide a tremendous boost to that project.

Currently, should you not find what you are looking for in Google, there is always the back button. Providing an alternative to backing out of the page would be very smart and tremendously successful very quickly.

The world does not need a better Wiki. However, Google is what it is because of the need for a better search engine. It will be very interesting to see what happens with this.

Wikisearch is way behind I think. We are launching EarthFrisk.Org, the worlds first Meta-Social Search engine that does what Wiki's upcoming one does and more. Basically it takes the best results from Google, Yahoo. and MSN and others, filters out some spam, then we allow the community to vote and comment - all of whcih adds to the new CV rating ( Color Value) complete with downloadable toolbars for Firefox and IE. Basically this is a step up for search and the theory is we can create a better search engine that relies more on comments and reputation than links. The only things missing is making the images more meta ( done by Friday) and videos more meta - (also done Friday) . Overall though the site is workable now and press release is Monday with lots of media attention. What is better than the best results of Google, and Yahoo and MSN with less spam and community voting? Wiki's won't really go live until January 7th and even then it doesn't have the abilities that EarthFrisk.Org has even now, before Our launch on Monday!
