I’ve done all this work manually over the years and now I am taking a look at some programs. Of course I do use online tools to analyze, etc. Let me know if you have any that you recommend Ann. For now, I saw you have a RankSense ad and I’m going to take a look at that.

I use tools (in all senses of the phrase, ha), but all of them cater to a specific piece of the puzzle… nothing comprehensive and I’d be doing too much comparing with other tools to make that an efficient use of time anyways.

I love when this website just craps out when I try and post a comment. It gives me a you need cookies enabled message and then when I back button my post is gone. I am using FF with cookies enabled. I never see this happen on other WP websites and I comment A LOT. Oh well.

As I was saying. I just use tools for stuff like analytics, keyword creation, crawling of websites and tools directly from the SE’s themselves

I’m with you on this one. Sure, we should be using our noggins to make final decisions, but why not get as much information so that may make a more informed decision?

As you stated, we can check links manually, but why not get the easy parts of doing so taken care of by a tool so as to save time for the nitty gritty analysis? Keyword suggestions are the same. They are really no different than a thesaurus, giving us terms that we may not have thought about. Then we use our gift of thought to process the information.
