Earlier in the hour I received a news release email from Daniel Lemin of Google. Ironically, after Google has tested GMail, Orkut, and Google Groups 2 (much like Yahoo Groups), the Google PR team is still using Yahoo Groups to distribute Google related press announcements:Yahoo! Groups : GooglePress.
I’m a Yahoo Groups member of course, and subscriber, but in a time when Google and Yahoo are both lining up their war hounds and pea shooters for their big search engine showdown, why would Google want press people to have to become a Yahoo Groups subscriber in order to receive Google info?
Furthermore, on the bottom of each email sent from Google Press to Yahoo Groups subscribers is this Yahoo ad:
< *> To visit your group on the web, go to:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/googlepress/
< *> To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to:
googlepress-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com
< *> Your use of Yahoo! Groups is subject to:
http://docs.yahoo.com/info/terms/

i ask my self how they got rid of the ads. is it a special deal or can anybody by ad-free yahoo-groups? until now i couldn’t find out.
Nice page. It’s good to have kids who can use this medium to find you
