Google, HotBot and Dogpile all released powerful new toolbars in recent weeks. Copernic, a toolbar made by a Quebec City company, meanwhile, was named one of the best search toolbars by PC Magazine last month.
A sign that toolbars are the latest big thing: Microsoft, working on sophisticated new search technology so it can take on Google, reportedly plans to embed its own search toolbar into the next version of its popular Internet Explorer browser. From Canada.com
