		<description>I&#039;m not sure this is a contradiction.  It seems possible that Google could encourage lots of linking and still interpret that stingy linkers are more discerning...</description>

		<description>The search engines have been very open and honest on this issue for a long time.  You can link to 100 thin affiliate sites if you wish but if that is all you link to you&#039;re not going to make as good an impression as if you link to 20,000 substantial content sites in addition to those 100 thin affiliate sites.</description>
