Well reading further on her there is a lot of talk about buying links which is of course forbidden with edu domains and could have concenquences for all parties.

A fascinating discussion.

I have a college.edu.pe domain which I am currently in the process of building with quality educational content.

There will be no student blog but a resource of informative articles with a link in the author bio, but no selling of any kind.

In return I would wish the individual to mail his list with an agreed product that complements what he/she offers and would give value to them. I would also require a link back to my other sites in the relevant niche.

Am I right in thinking that by this method my college.edu.pe domain would grow in importance and therefore make the links more valuable as time goes on?

I would appreciate your thoughts.

Its really intresting reading your post. Another aspect of generic marketing is that the results are shown at different places with google or yahoo api is used for search results

Thanks for a really good overview on the whole.edu link building thing. I was looking at purchasing an ebook on this subject, but after reading your post I think it is going to be harder than it seems to get these sort of links.

Thanks for the article. I think I could use some links from an edu site but I am not really sure how to go about it. Is there a search engine that searches for edu blogs that I can post replies on?
