Last night’s Super Bowl XLII probably marked one of the more recent occasions where the game itself was much more gratifying, dramatic and exciting that its commercials.

And for those of us who found ourselves in the line to the bathroom or stocking up on chips and dip during the commercial breaks during the big game; AOL Video, Yahoo Video and Google’s YouTube have some great channels and captures of the commercials we may have missed.

I really can’t say I was too excited by this year’s commercials, which included some real duds by GM and CareerBuilder, but there were some masterpieces in the mix, like the eTrade baby commercial :

And this amazing story of Chester Pitts and his journey to the NFL (advertising the NFL) :

And this sack of Tom Brady by Michael Strahan:

Oops, that wasn’t a commercial, my bad ;)

None of this year’s commericals even challenged the best Super Bowl Commercial ever, Apple’s 1984.
