SEO Black Hat : Best Black Hat SEO Blog of 2006!

January 4th, 2007 by Loren Baker, Editor | 3 Comments

The Best Black Hat SEO Blog of 2006 (the category voted most likely to be manipulated) Award goes to SEO Black Hat, a blog which should be on everyone’s blog reader - regardless of your preferred SEO techniques.

I’ve learned a lot from SEO Black Hat in the past year, including how to get lots of Diggs as well as how to get banned from Digg… and well, they also have on bitchin’ blog design.

And the readers of Search Engine Journal seem to agree! Here are the results of the 1 to 5 rankings of Black Hat Blogs by SEJ readers:

SEO Black Hat 3.74
David Naylor 3.29
Oilman 3.09
Webguerrilla 3.05
G-Man 2.76
Biggnuts (Dax) 2.69
IrishWonder 2.45

I didn’t do too bad considering I didn’t start my blog until late October! :)

SEO Black Hat is a great resource, As usual with a lot of SEO there is always a grey area and usually it’s just one person’s interpretation as to whether something is black hat or not.

Yahoo Pipes / G Mashup are examples of basically duplicating content and publishing it on your site… (it’s just wrapped up in a fluffy user friendly box)

How about GEO targetting - different locations get served different content - All I need is a good excuse to serve different content to users and search engines…..

Anyway a nice yahoo pipe / mashup for you all:
