Search People in Video Launched by Reuters Labs

Reuters Labs (I did not even know there was a Rueters Labs until today) has launched a video search offering which instantly identifies people who appear in their news videos via facial and feature recognition and contextual relevance : Search People in Video

The video search engine is powered and hosted by Viewdle, which Reuters says is a pioneering facial recognition-based video indexing and search technology that recognizes true, real-time and contextually-relevant appearances of people on screen.

Try examples such as “Angelina Jolie“, “David Beckham” or “George Bush“.
