I am very excited to introduce myself to the readers of SEJ. My name is Melissa Fach and I am the new Managing Editor of Search Engine Journal (how cool is that?).
My Background
I am the owner of SEO Aware, LLC. My education is in Psychology and mental health, but for the last 7 years I have worked in the web marketing and SEO industry. I have really enjoyed the consulting side of the business and I believe this is where I have excelled. I have a lot of experience with WordPress, the web development process, blogging, content development, SEO and social media. My company has also offered tailored training services and I have enjoyed this aspect of the business very much.
On a personal note, I am major Star Wars geek, a tech junkie and I volunteer my time at a tiger habitat.
Plans for SEJ
Search Engine Journal is a site that I have read and respected for a very long time. When Loren Baker contacted me about this opportunity I was thrilled to say the least. Loren and I have discussed many ideas for improvements. We know there are many great writers that contribute to SEJ currently, but I know there are many very intelligent people working in this industry. We want to hear from you. Search Engine Journal is not about an elite group of authors; we are looking for knowledgeable and experienced people to contribute articles to SEJ.
Additionally, we are going to be tapping into some of the best minds in the industry to bring the readers of Search Engine Journal new and exciting information.
