i worked with a PPC client who sells a service that enables independent musicians to sell their mp3 music on itunes, who tried MySpace for less than a week.

they stipulated a minimum ad spend of $5000 and two and half days into it, the client panicked and pulled out because he was expecting some immediate "mega-lift" in sales, had spent half his budget and couldn't prove any increase at all yet. truth by told, the client didn't understand his audience half as well as he thought and had no idea how long the buying cycle was - the time from seeing an ad and learning he existed, to the point of being willing to spend money on his service. when he didn't seen an immediate result with his MySpace spend, he freaked out and yanked it down.

Has anyone reading this blog post ever personally tested ADs (non Yahoo!) on Myspace? I am interested to see what type of results they have had (for what industries, etc...)

If you have any info, I would be very happy to hear this and possible share this with our readers...

Yahoo has been losing ground for years. I'm surprised myspace passed it though. That is like the ugliest site I have ever seen.
