MSN Search Names Their Crawlers
For those of you keeping a close tab on all of the MSN Search Bots, Barry at Search Engine Roundtable has the scoop on the MSN Crawler names.
After first glance, Yahoo still takes the cake for most creative with Slurp… followed by LookSmart’s older group bot, Grub; MSN has taken the Google course of simple crawler names:
The MSN Shopping bot is msnbot-products.
The MSN News bot is msnbot-news.
The MSN Image Search bot is msnbot-media.
The MSN Search bot is still just plain msnbot.
Personally, I was looking forward to something like LIVEbot or BallmerBot.
