Microsoft Live Search Site Submission Working Again

If you still take the time to actually submit new sites to search engines (as opposed to informing their bots that the new site exists via linking to it, bookmarking it, leaving a comment on a blog or registering it), mark down on your to-do list that Microsoft’s Live Search Site Submission Form is working again.

Barry informs us that after it was not working for a month, Live Search has taken the time to fix their submission form, which is located at http://search.msn.com/docs/submit.aspx.

Ever since MSN became windows live, thousands and thousands of websites have been deleted from their search engine entirely. Many of us have tried repeatedly to submit through the site submission page with no results. Getting registered with the outdated and obsolete DMOZ is impossible. The only editors left there either have an agenda or have maneuvered themselves into a category where they have vested interests, so they dominate the results. I, for one, have given up on Windows Live Search. I am listed on the other major search engines, which are far more popular. If Live Search wants to keep blocking websites from its directory, let them. I don’t use it to search the internet. Even as MSN Search, their page relevance was poor. It only accounted for about 2% of hits to my site before it got deleted. No wonder people are searching for and finding better alternatives. Knowing how fast Micro$oft moves, it will probably be years before they see the bugs, much less fix them.
