I’ve been using furl for about 6 months now. It’s great and way better than delicious. Just wish there was a bit more marketing to increase awareness.

I was also sorry to see it go – burned a lot of hours in a very boring job a couple of years ago working on Zeal. I’d argue though that Looksmart never managed to catch Google and after they lost the MSN contract it was all over. They’re dead – the corpse just hasn’t stopped moving yet.

Wow, I knew this was coming, but it still saddens me more than I expected. I was at LookSmart prior to the acquistion of Zeal and was deeply involved in the product and content integration, in some ways more than anyone else. I left LookSmart the going was good, when it was clear that the company’s focus had irrevocably changed, but it’s still depressing. Like watching your childhood home burn down even though you moved out long ago.
