iTunes Now Features Friends & Other Warner Bros Shows

Apple iTunes is now featuring classic Warner Bros. TV shows such s Friends & Babylon 5 for the price of $1.99 per download. In an aggressive month of entertainment download moves by WB which includes deals with BitTorrent and Guba.

“Making our television content available to iTunes consumers is an important step in our digital distribution strategy,” Simon Kenny, President of Warner Bros. Digital Distribution said in a statement. “This deal fits perfectly with our philosophy of providing consumers with access to our world-class entertainment properties across the widest selection of platforms and devices available.”

Ever since Apple introduced its first video iPod late last year, the company has been adding TV shows and music videos to its iTunes catalog at a steady clip. It now has more than 150 TV shows available to consumers — offerings that range from the very recent — “Desperate Housewives” and “Law and Order SVU” — to the quirky pilot episode of “Aquaman,” the latest interpretation of DC Comics’ Aquaman mythology.
