THE IM PROBLEM:
Google should drop the "IM" idea, not good. Personally, we have too many and I am getting fed up with programs like Trillian (a multi-IM connection program) not working properly and not supporting all of each's features as well as having many "IM" programs running all at once...

Here is an idea... join forces and allow each to chat with and communicate accross platforms! IE: Yahoo! should be able to chat with AIM and MSN users and vise-versa.

Personally, I like Yahoo!'s seach, IM, EMAIL, and other features (groups, news, start pages, etc) better than the others.

Choosing any particular search engine is the same as choosing what shirt to wear. When you have worn it long enough, you will definitely like to change to something new. Google has hogged the limelight for the last two years, but after its IPO, I am sure the PR people would have nothing new to jazz about, and perhaps a new kid would come along, one which would not allow their serps to be dominated by large corporations with deep pockets! Organic listings will thrived once more as searchers will get fed up with all those results from paid listings. And if the Google IPO did not deliver as promised from all those hypes, searchers will even pay more scorn on all the hoo haas that the PR guys has generated about making money from poor and harried advertisers. There will be a new star coming soon, after the dust has settled.
