Improve Mobile Search Experience To Receive New Ranking Benefits

Mobile is huge and you can’t deny it. More and more searches are being conducted via mobile search. Whenever technology advances, it generally takes a while before all the kinks are worked out and everybody is on board with the new changes.

Many webmasters have already adopted the changes and many have yet to get on board. As you’re searching on your mobile phone, you’re bound to run into some frustrations. Webmasters must understand the effect of a mobile friendly interface. When a customer becomes frustrated, they will leave and find someone else who can help them effectively.

  • Desktop pages are being redirected to a central location (typically the home page). Looks like the image below

faulty mobile redirects

  • Videos that won’t play

To supercharge this adoption process, Google has officially been found to say the following:

This is big! I anticipate the mobile web to improve significantly within the next few months. I’d love to know your thoughts. What changes do you need to make for your website?
