Does the average twitterer tweet search engine friendly tweets anyway? I mean... most REAL twitterers write tweets like "I LUV disney wrld n my frnds luv its 2!!!" Marketers, who in my opinion spam the heck out of twitter, are more likely to write search engine friendly tweets.... seems to me that google opened the flood gates for those spammy marketers who without doubt will find a way to abuse this. I mean sure spammers abuse everything else, but nothing up until right now (asides from maybe social bookmarking) can provide easy search placement.
