Government Releases Research-Based Web Design & Usability Guidelines

Why should I invest time into this huge 128 page 39.2 MB eBook?

If you have not read much on the issue of usability, then it is hard to imaging you have a user centric web site design. If you do not make it easy for people to do what you want, they probably won’t.

Web site usability is based upon some simple criteria on how to allow even the blind to view your site. Here is the cool thing: search engines have created their algorithms based on these same fundamental principals.

If you learn much about web design from any angle it helps you better understand the others. If you have yet to read anything on usability welcome yourself to dessert.

The 13 page bibliography includes heavyweights such as Jakob Nielson and research companies such as Jupiter Research.
