With the popularity increase of blogs and CMSs, and the majority of them having "nofollow" as a default setting, SEs would be doing their visitors (you and me) a disservice in not providing relative content regardless if they were indexed via dofollow or nofollow links. A balance of do follow and no follow therefore seems preferable. At the end of the day the measure of SEO is about the number of visitors driven to the site - no follow links acheive this just as well as do follow. Page rank does not impact visitor numbers...
