Google Announces Doodle 4 Google Winning Logo

Today Google announced the winner of the 2008 Doodle 4 Google logo contest, a rather uplifting logo by Grace Moon of Canyon Middle School in Castro Valley, California.

Grace’s logo is named Up in the Clouds, and here’s a little description on what the logo means to Grace.

My doodle, “Up in the Clouds,” expresses a world in the sky. This new world is clean and fresh, and people are social and enlightened. Every person here is treated as family no matter who they are. The bright sun heats this ideal place with warmth, love, and brightens everyone’s day.

This year Google asked U.S. kids in grades K-12 to doodle around the theme “What if…?”

Here are doodles from all of the finalists.

I enjoyed that Google background each time I went to the internet Wednesday, never knowing it’s history. Thanks for making my day, Grace.
