It is a welcome addition for blogs to have these tools.
However I wonder over time if it turns out that the tools are useful or overkill. It is a delicate balance and it depends who uses them, their skill and for what purpose.
Will there be simple summaries for new users or a tremendous amount of information overload of info that you already know or can get elsewhere in a simple fashion.
It is interesting the approach to giving information as a carrot. Yet how does google benefit from the information ? Does it help them in planning , placing ads , recruitment , analysis of the industry and trends ?
One should be grateful for the service. It is always a question of the overall value that a user/ webmaster /blogger receives not what is in it for google. In the end it all comes down to functionality and usability for most users .

Thanks for the information. I only log into my webmaster console once in a great while and may not have even known about it until reading this. As a blogger, it would definitely be informative.
