It seems that the data is indeed drawn from Google Base. The real estate information arena is big money and a segment that Yahoo and third party companies have been virtually dominating at even in Google's own search engine results. It does appear that G is trying to secure its own piece of the pie. However, the interface and results appear somewhat clunky and the format hasn't changed much since its inception.
