Google Mini & Oracle Secure Enterprise Search Offerings

Google has released a new Google Mini Enterprise Search which is targeted towards small businesses with its capacity of searching up to 50,000 doucments and small biz friendly price of $1,995.

From Google :

The new Mini is smaller in capacity and price, but not in performance. It offers the same fast, relevant search results with an interface that’s as easy to use as Google.com. And since many small businesses don’t stay small, document capacities can be upgraded at anytime.

The Google enterprise group is constantly looking for ways to make search available for as many businesses as possible.

The launch of the new Google Mini comes on the heels of Oracle getting into the Enterprise Search market with Oracle Secure Enterprise Search 10g, which delivers search results from a range of enterprise data sources including databases, file systems, enterprise content management systems, portals, email systems and enterprise applications.
