Google Maps Street View Hits France

Google Street View, which photographs the streets and lanes within cities and other destinations via a continuous panoramic camera placed on the top of cars, has now gone live for France.

The locations are not the traditional streets of cities or towns which have been photographed in the US, for Google’s entrance into its second country which uses Street View, Google chose to photograph the route of the Tour de France!

Google Maps Street View has come to be incredibly valuable here in the US, from planning travel, to looking into real estate, to trying to decide a restaurant to meet up in; the tourism implications for France alone are amazing, and we’re excited to learn that Google Street View is expanding globally … slow and steady.
