Google Looking for Search Engine Marketers
Google is heavily recruiting established Search Engine Marketers according to Teddie ar Search Engine War who received a call from Google’s recruitment agency on Wednesday. Teddie says he could not believe his ears and was flattered. As Google positions itself as more of a media agency than just a search engine, its going to have to do a better job at fulfilling the expectations of its advertisers with customer service and project managers. What better place to look than the already established Search Engine Marketing Agency field? Agency owners are not going to be too happy if this grows to become an all out recruitment effort by Google.
From Search Engine War : SEM’s (search engine marketing agencies) are people who put in the serious ground work evangelising the value of search, many since well before Google existed in the public eye.
Whilst I’m flattered by the offer, I’m overwhelmed and mildly relieved by the fact that the worlds biggest search engine may finally be realising that search engine marketing agencies deserve some recognition.
