Hypothetically, Win-Win-Win (like the Office episode) but the eBay/Google non-US deal also includes AdWords ads being served in non-US eBay results.

Yahoo serves their YSM ads in US eBay results now, which, spun in with the Paypal integration plans throughout Yahoo, will probably block a US eBay-Google PPCall deal.

When do you think Google, Yahoo or eBay advertisers will be ready, willing and able to adopt and integrate pay per call services into their day to day operations?

That's a good one for Greg to answer, but from experience I've seen that the traditional lead generation Yellow Pages local advertisers with backup sales forces have been a bit slower in PPCall adoption than first thought. What we'll probably see is companies like ReachLocal and Verizon taking full advantage of PPCall/Click To Call offerings from Google, Yahoo, eBay and Ingenio on behalf of their small business advertisers.

Then those 'small businesses' figuring out that they can cut their lead generation costs in half (atleast) by taking the PPCall media buying in-house, since most of these companies are marking up the PPCall and PPClick rates by 100% in order to crank out a profit.

Then, we'll see it spread like wildfire.

I believe the reasons for not launching the similar pay per call system in the US could be the current multi-year partnership between eBay & Yahoo in the US.

Funny thing about the search business is the International approach. In the same way that Firefox's preferred browser distribution partner in the US is Google, in Asia; Firefox partnered with Yahoo (due to Yahoo's dominance in the region).

Although, if eBay could set up a Per Per Call deal with both Yahoo & Google in the US, that would really be a major coup.
