This is totally unnecessary and does not provide the kind of information they claim to be seeking. Random data about Goggle (or other searches) is not a scientific way of obtaining anything that can be definitive. The intrusion into personal and private use of the internet is a dictator's tool and we are supposedly a democracy. Google, I applaud your efforts to not release any of this information that is being requested and encourage you to stand your ground. From a loyal American who still believes in freedom.
