		<description>One major problem is that most advertisers don&#039;t even know which copy on which PPC ad is performing better since they do not measure conversions. Many just look at impressions and CTR without investigating if the ad made a sale.

One of my clients was spending over $4000/month on Google AdWords and Overture, bidding all over the place and across &quot;the&quot; most popular terms. He had no idea about ROI and could only guess if the copies of his ads are good or not.

I agree with the principle of that article and can add that there are many more things to do in order to manage a competitive PPC campaign. Making visitors land on a specific landing page is also very important. The basic thing to do is - MEASURE. Most of the small PPC advertisers don&#039;t have the time or skill to do that well.
