On Saturday, Google AdSense users will not be able to login to their accounts, although ads will still be served.
From the Inside AdSense blog :
Tomorrow, our engineers will be performing routine system maintenance from 10am to 12pm PDT. Although you won’t be able to log in to your account for 2 hours, we’ll continue to serve ads to your pages and track your earnings as usual.
For our international readers, we’ve converted the maintenance start time for a few cities around the world:
Toronto — 1pm Saturday
London — 6pm Saturday
Cairo — 8pm Saturday
Mumbai — 10:30pm Saturday
Melbourne — 3am Sunday

“We’re always experimenting and testing ways to deliver relevant and new kinds of ads”
..that’s the reason I like using Google Adsense over Yahoo’s ads. Yahoo seems to pay out a tad better for me but Google is always updating and upgrading.

I’ve been reading a few forums and blogs about Google Adsense tips lately, and thought it would be helpful to consolidate as many as possible in one place

I know why they updated it. On some of my ads after the update, I see a little link inside now (like the link unit type keyword links) inside the bottome of the regular text banner ads. I’m nto sure if I like it or not, but probably does give more real estate value per ad space.
