GMail, the Google mail application, is experiencing yet another outage which is crippling the millions of users and companies which rely on Google’s Cloud for their daily business and communications. When GMail fails, where do people go?
Besides running back to their Outlook, the buzz about GMail seems to be heating up on Twitter. Here’s a search for GMail.
Are you experiencing problems with GMail? There may be some workarounds. Last time GMail was down I wrote about accessing it via iGoogle and other non-Google third party clients.

Can you access GMail? Please let us know in the comments below.

Down as of 11am est –
Temporary Error (503)
for about half an hour now
Started with just the Contacts being down, but ended up a few minutes later being completely down. Bah humbug.
A bigger problem is that many outbound emails from Gmail accounts are finding their way into spam folders at the destination point. I’ve communicated this problem to Google requesting communication of a plan to correct this. So far no meaningful response.
It may be time for new customer focused leadership at the top of the Gmail group.
Why, exactly, would you conclude that messages originating from Gmail ending up in “spam folders at the destination” is a problem for which Google should be on the hook?
It sounds like you need to communicate the problem to the recipient…
Gmail down with 500 Temporary Error, same issue through iGoogle. Bah…
GMail contacts are down, as well as chat here. Occasionally, I cannot send mail.
Yes, I reset my Google talk and now the screen is empty.
As of now Gmail is working ok in India. No outage so far.
For me also no problem in Gmail.
Does this happen enough to frustrate Gmail users into jumping to Yahoo? I’m a Yahoo user and I’ve been happy so far….
I had no major issue with GMail today so far, just on the slightly slow side and the contacts. But other than that, I was able to send & receive fine.
No matter how GMail ends up, it would never force me back to Yahoo. I haven’t used it since the late 90′s I believe. If I did not use GMail, I would use Thunderbird or Outlook with my own domain address.
I know a crash a few weeks back was due to Russian cyber security. Does anyone know what the recent crash was from?
Even with the few glitches lately, Gmail is miles ahead of Yahoo mail and MSN mail.
Just my 2 cents.
Its been frustrating trying to do anything on google/gmail sites for the past 4 hours. its extremely slow and simply unable to send emails. Did i say its been a frustrating morning?
Yesterday I couldn’t access gmail for ages before it finally came back, and now again today!!! What is going on with gmail?
